Richmond Centre
Our Centre
Riding for the Disabled Association NSW Richmond Centre was established in May 2014 on land within the University of Western Sydney Hawkesbury campus. Its grounds lie within the ‘Secret Garden’ Community space operated by North West Disability Services.
The land, formerly home to Hawkesbury Stud is approximately 15 acres and consists of numerous paddocks, yards and stables, a round yard and sand indoor arena.
RDA Richmond is currently taking new, individual and group bookings by appointment. To express your interest please contact RDA Richmond on 0422 062 887.
Once established the Secret Garden will boast a community garden, mess hall with café, bathrooms with full disabled access, a “Mates Shed”, Music and Arts workshops, Horticulture Therapy, Farm Animal Workshops, Candle Making and Craft Workshops, Mud Brick Building workshops, Landscaping Workshops, Permaculture Workshops etc, as well as numerous meeting spaces. All activities are focused on participation of people with a disability and are also open to the wider community.
RDA Richmond Centre is run solely by volunteers using funds and resources generously donated by our supporters.
